Synopsis

Cinephile Paradiso returns this December presenting Alfred Hitchcock's 1945 classic psychological thriller SPELLBOUND starring Gregory Peck and Ingrid Bergman.Hitchcock delivers a unique blend of romance, mystery, and psychoanalysis in this thrilling masterpiece, which follows Dr. Constance Petersen (Bergman), a dedicated psychiatrist, as she encounters an amnesiac man, John Ballantyne (Peck), who may—or may not—be a murderer. As Dr. Petersen falls for her patient, she becomes determined to uncover the truth through psychoanalysis, leading to a series of surreal and haunting sequences, including dreamlike imagery designed by artist Salvador Dalí, which delve into the darkest corners of the human mind.
