A CELEBRATION OF THE WORK OF HANS ZIMMER AT LIGHT HOUSE AND PÁLÁS
To celebrate Hans Zimmer’s visit to Dublin this June for his concert at the 3Arena, Light House and Pálás will be hosting a month-long showcase of the composer’s film work. Screening over four weeks, the series will feature twenty-two key films which capture the depth and breadth of his career to date. One of the greatest film composers of all time, Zimmer soundtracks have consistently exhilarated audiences and provided them with some of the most memorable cinema experiences of their lives.
From his powerful and evocative scores and his iconic collaborations with visionary directors, the season promises to transport viewers into extraordinary worlds, where emotion, adventure, and imagination intertwine. Light House and Pálás invite audiences to journey through the mesmerizing soundscapes created by Zimmer and relive some of the most iconic moments in cinematic history.
Carefully curated by the Programming team, it’s an opportunity to experience the range of Hans Zimmer's extraordinary talent on the big screen, with beloved family films such as The Lion King and Kung Fu Panda to uplifting tales of determination including Cool Runnings and A League of Their Own to overcoming adversity in Hidden Figures and 12 Years A Slave. He effortlessly guides audiences through giddy highs and devastating lows.
Ironically, this is almost a season within a season as cinephiles will have an opportunity to rewatch Inception, Interstellar, Dunkirk and The Dark Knight Trilogy ahead of Christopher Nolan’s hotly anticipated Oppenheimer which is out later this summer.
