Synopsis
Fifteen years after she got burnt when the pub where she slept as a child caught fire, 23-year-old Franky (Vicky Knight, Dirty God) seeks revenge because she still hasn't found any answers. Juggling her duties both as a nurse and the backbone of her tumultuous family in east London, life takes a transformative turn when she embarks on a relationship with one of her patients (Esmé Creed-Miles, Hanna).
Silver Haze reunites director Sacha Polak and star Vicky Knight (Dirty God) for an emotionally charged depiction of working-class life in Britain, that draws inspiration from Vicky Knight’s own childhood experiences of surviving an arson attack. Her remarkable performance in the film earned her the prestigious Teddy Jury Award at the Berlin Film Festival.
