OPPENHEIMER MIDNIGHT SCREENING AT LIGHT HOUSE AND PÁLÁS
OPPENHEIMER is the story of American scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer and his role in the development of the atomic bomb. The film boasts a huge cast including Cillian Murphy, Florence Pugh, Emily Blunt, Robert Downey Jr., and Matt Damon.
Our midnight screenings are your first chance to see the highly anticipated film in Dublin and Galway. Tickets for all 35mm screenings for opening weekend are on sale now and tickets for digital screenings will be on sale this Friday.
We look forward to what is sure to be another thrilling entry in Nolan's filmography and we are delighted to be presenting the film in 35mm, as we share in Nolan's love for celluloid!
Light House projectionist, Rob O'Brien, has this is to say
The arrival of Oppenheimer on 35mm film at Light House Cinema on July 21st is a very special occasion for me personally, as I have run almost every Christopher Nolan movie on 35mm film (the exceptions being Following, Memento and The Dark Knight Rises) during my 21 years of working as a Projectionist.
There is something about 35mm film that just cannot be matched – it’s a tangible format, you can physically touch the film print almost feeling connected to the filmmakers in a way. It is always a privilege to be able to present 35mm film to an audience here at Light House Cinema, and there’s nothing like a brand-new film print and the sound of the projector running in the background! I’m sure everyone is going to love it!
You can get your tickets (including the midnight screenings) for Light House HERE and for Pálás HERE.
